You are probably already aware of the multiple advantages of a rigid hull inflatable boat (RHIB) in the commercial environment.
For example, air or foam-filled collars function as shock absorbers to minimize damage during boardings or docking. BCGP uses Wing® collars exclusively because of their quality and durability. These heavy-duty, mil-spec polyurethane tubes offer superior air retention and abrasion and puncture resistance.
Impact RHIB hulls feature a polyester blend resin precisely applied to multi-directional fiberglass to achieve maximum strength while minimizing weight. Aggressive non-skid surfaces are applied to tubes and deck surfaces for more secure footing. All areas of stress - cleats, thru–hulls, etc. - are reinforced with composite material - not wood - to promote strength and longevity.
Unlike most RHIB product, BCGP's Impact RHIBs feature molded fiberglass stringer systems. This process results in more precise fitting parts, finished gelcoated bilges for lower maintenance and superior strength and durability. The stringers are unique to individual hulls affording optimal structural support and uniform fit.
Each molded fiberglass stringer is affixed to the hull interior with a methacrylate adhesive. (Methacrylate adhesive is so strong that it is capable of shearing fiberglass before a bond fails.) The stringers are then filled with liquid polyurethane closed-cell foam that provides not only additional strength but flotation as well. The foam holes are covered with fiberglass and the hull and stringers are permanently bonded.
The Impact RHIB line offers a range of customizable platforms from 15' - 39'. You design the interior based on your specific application and we'll take care of building you a boat specifically manufactured for commercial use. Multiple propulsion options are available on Impact models above 24', and hundreds of commercial options are available.
