Unlike the Whaler models, the Impact series features lighter weight fiberglass hulls augmented by inflatable tubes that provide superior lateral stability, shock absorption in rough seas and flotation. This results in lower fuel consumption and easy transport. The inflatable collars make Impacts well suited for boarding and rescue operations.
